SUMMARY:Youth Catechism Class
DESCRIPTION:Youth Catechism Class is an opportunity for young people to grow in their Christian faith and to prepare to confess it in the Rite of Confirmation. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn Catechism Class\, students learn the basics of Christian doctrine through the Small Catechism. Taking Catechism Class is the normal route toward participating in the Rite of Confirmation. \n\n\n\nJoint Catechism Classes\n\n\n\nSaint Peter’s Lutheran Church in Door County conducts Youth Catechism Classes in conjunction with our sister congregation\, Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Algoma. \n\n\n\nAges for Catechism Class\n\n\n\nTypically\, 7th and 8th graders participate in Catechism Class at Saint Peter’s. However\, sometimes younger and older students will participate in Catechism Class.

SUMMARY:Advent Midweek Worship: The 3 Comings of Christ
DESCRIPTION:Advent is a season of waiting\, watching\, and preparing—and this year\, our congregation is exploring the deep richness of the season through a special series: The Three Comings of Christ. Advent does not point to only one moment in history\, but to the fullness of Christ’s work for His people across time. In this series\, we reflect on Christ’s first coming in the flesh\, His present coming through His Word and Sacraments\, and His final coming in glory. \n\n\n\nPreceeded by a community meal at 6:15 PM. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn Week One\, we look back to the incarnation\, rejoicing that the eternal Son of God entered our world in humility to redeem us. Week Two turns our eyes to the present\, where Christ continually comes to His Church\, giving forgiveness\, life\, and salvation through His Means of Grace. Finally\, Week Three lifts our hope to the future as we anticipate Christ’s promised return\, when He will make all things new and gather His people to Himself forever. \n\n\n\nTogether\, these three comings give depth and meaning to our Advent preparation. They remind us that Christ has come\, Christ still comes\, and Christ will come again—for us and for our salvation. Join us as we enter this season with expectation\, joy\, and hope.
