All are welcome to this service\, presented in both English and Spanish. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Our Ash Wednesday Service\n\n\n\nThe evening starts with a communal meal at 6:30 PM in the fellowship hall. This simple gathering allows worshippers to connect over food and fellowship before the service\, open to everyone—bring a friend or neighbor! Arrive a few minutes early to settle in and enjoy the warm hospitality of Saint Peter’s. \n\n\n\nAt 7:30 PM\, the Service of Vespers begins\, a traditional evening prayer liturgy that includes scripture\, song\, and the imposition of ashes. Participants will receive a cross of ashes on their foreheads with the words\, “Remember that you are dust\, and to dust you shall return\,” a powerful reminder of mortality and a call to God’s grace. Offered in English and Spanish\, this service ensures all can fully participate as we enter Lent together. \n\n\n\nWhat is Ash Wednesday?\n\n\n\nAsh Wednesday launches the Lenten season of spiritual discipline and preparation for Easter\, often marked by fasting\, prayer\, and charity. At Saint Peter’s\, this service sets a contemplative tone for that journey.
