At Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church\, Easter is a time of joy\, hope\, and renewal. After the darkness of Good Friday\, we gather on Easter to proclaim the good news that Christ is risen! His resurrection is not just a historical event; it is the foundation of our hope today and the promise of eternal life to come. \n\n\n\nEaster reminds us that no matter how deep our sorrow\, how strong our struggles\, or how final death may seem\, Jesus has overcome it all. The empty tomb means that God’s love has the final word. It means we are forgiven\, made new\, and called into a life of joy and purpose. \n\n\n\nOur Easter celebration is filled with uplifting music\, Scripture\, and a message that centers on the risen Savior. It’s a time to come together as a church family and rejoice in the life-changing power of Christ’s resurrection. Whether you are a lifelong believer or simply curious about the Christian faith\, you are welcome at Saint Peter’s. Come celebrate the promise of new life with us. \n\n\n\nAbout the Divine Service\n\n\n\nThe Divine Service usually begins with the confession of our sins. After we confess our sins\, the pastor proclaims Christ’s forgiveness to us in Holy Absolution. \n\n\n\nThe Divine Service continues with hearing God’s Word through readings from Scripture and a sermon. After receiving God’s Word\, we express our faith in God through the recitation of a creed (a statement of our beliefs)\, the giving of offerings\, and prayer. \n\n\n\nThen\, we receive Christ’s mercy through the Sacrament of the Altar (Holy Communion).
