Youth Catechism Class is an opportunity for young people to grow in their Christian faith and to prepare to confess it in the Rite of Confirmation.

In Catechism Class, students learn the basics of Christian doctrine through the Small Catechism. Taking Catechism Class is the normal route toward participating in the Rite of Confirmation.

Joint Catechism Classes

Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church in Door County conducts Youth Catechism Classes in conjunction with our sister congregation, Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Algoma.

Ages for Catechism Class

Typically, 7th and 8th graders participate in Catechism Class at Saint Peter’s. However, sometimes younger and older students will participate in Catechism Class.

Location

This class session is held at the site of our sister congregation: Saint John’s Lutheran Church, Algoma. Other class sessions will meet at Saint Peter’s. Please check the schedule or contact us to see when and where classes will be held.
